About Rie Yoshiyuki

Rie Yoshiyuki (1939–2006) was a Japanese poet, novelist, and children's author born in Tokyo, the daughter of Dadaist writer Eisuke Yoshiyuki. Japanese. She graduated from Waseda University and received major awards including the Akutagawa Prize for Chiisana Kifujin (The Little Lady, 1981) and the Women's Literature Prize for Kiiroi neko (Yellow Cat, 1989).
