About Reverend Dr H. B. Workman
Herbert Brook Workman (1862–1951), an English Methodist minister and historian known as Reverend Dr. H. B. Workman, was born in London and educated at Kingswood School and Owens College, Manchester. He entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1885, served as principal of Westminster College from 1903, was elected president of the Wesleyan Conference in 1930, and lectured at Vanderbilt University and the University of Chicago.
