Rebecca Stead

Rebecca Stead is an American children's author born in New York City in 1968. She won the 2010 Newbery Medal for *When You Reach Me*, a mystery novel set in 1970s New York that weaves in a love of Madeleine L'Engle's *A Wrinkle in Time*. She is also the author of *Goodbye Stranger* and *Liar & Spy*.
