About Rachel Pollack
Rachel Grace Pollack (1945-2023) was an American author, comic book writer, and tarot expert born in Brooklyn, New York. She wrote acclaimed science fiction novels like Unquenchable Fire (Arthur C. Clarke Award winner) and Godmother Night (World Fantasy Award winner), penned the influential Doom Patrol run for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint introducing the first transgender superhero Coagula, and authored seminal tarot works such as 78 Degrees of Wisdom.
