About Quincy Jones

Quincy Delight Jones Jr. (born March 14, 1933) was an American musician, record producer, composer, arranger, and film/TV producer whose seven-decade career spanned jazz, pop, R&B, and more. Notable works include producing Michael Jackson's albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad; the charity single "We Are the World"; and scoring films like The Color Purple and In Cold Blood. He won 28 Grammy Awards, achieved EGOT status, and was a pioneering Black executive at Mercury Records.
