About Pierre Moinot

Pierre Moinot (1920-2007) was a French novelist, high-ranking civil servant, and member of the Académie française elected in 1982. French. His notable works include La Chasse royale (Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française, 1954), Le Sable vif (Prix des Libraires, 1963), and Le Guetteur d'ombre (Prix Femina, 1979), often drawing from rural life and French history. He served in key cultural roles under André Malraux, including as director of arts and letters, and as procureur général at the Cour des comptes. Le Figaro.
