Pierre Fisson

Pierre Fisson (1918–2013) was a French writer born in Tbilisi, Georgia, to a French father and Georgian mother, who completed his studies in Paris, resisted in the maquis during World War II, and later served as an attaché with the American General Staff in Berlin and as a press attaché in Mexico before becoming a journalist and author. He gained prominence by winning the prestigious Prix Renaudot in 1948 for his debut novel Voyage aux horizons. His career included several novels and récits published primarily by Éditions Julliard and Robert Laffont.
