About Philip Turner

Philip William Turner (1925–2006) was an English children's author best known for his Darnley Mills series, including Colonel Sheperton's Clock (1964) and The Grange at High Force (1965). He won the prestigious Carnegie Medal in 1965 for The Grange at High Force, recognizing it as the year's best children's book by a British subject.
