About Philip Schultz

Philip Schultz (born 1945) is an American poet best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning collection Failure (2007), along with other notable works like Like Wings (1978, National Book Award nominee), Deep Within the Ravine (1984, Lamont Poetry Selection), and The God of Loneliness (2010). A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, he founded The Writers Studio in New York City and has received fellowships including Guggenheim, Fulbright, and NEA awards. Pulitzer.org
