About Philip Hensher

Philip Hensher (born 20 February 1965) is an English novelist, critic, and journalist, best known for novels including The Northern Clemency (2008, shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize), Kitchen Venom (1996, winner of the Somerset Maugham Award), and Scenes from Early Life (2012, winner of the Ondaatje Prize). He was selected as one of Granta's Best Young British Novelists in 2003 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (FRSL). Penguin Random House
