Philip C. Stead

Philip C. Stead is an American author and illustrator of children's picture books. He wrote *A Sick Day for Amos McGee*, illustrated by his wife Erin E. Stead, which won the 2011 Caldecott Medal. He is also the author-illustrator of *Bear Has a Story to Tell* and *Ideas Are All Around*.
