About Phil Whitaker

Phil Whitaker is a British novelist and practicing GP born in 1966 in Kent, England. His debut novel Eclipse of the Sun (1997) won the Betty Trask Award and Mail on Sunday/John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, while Triangulation (1999) received the Encore Award for Best Second Novel; he has published several other novels including The Face (2002) and Sister Sebastian’s Library (2016), and writes a column for the New Statesman on medical topics.Encyclopedia.com, Phil Whitaker site, BMJ
