Peter Trachtenberg (born 1953) is an American writer of nonfiction, memoir, and fiction whose work has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper's, and other publications. He is the author of several books including 7 Tattoos: A Memoir in the Flesh, The Book of Calamities, and The Twilight of Bohemia. Notable achievements include the 2007 Whiting Award, 2009 Ralph Waldo Emerson Award, and 2010 Guggenheim Fellowship.
