About Peter S. Beagle
Peter S. Beagle (born 1939) is an American fantasy author best known for his novel The Last Unicorn (1968), ranked among the top fantasy novels by Locus magazine, along with works like A Fine and Private Place (1960) and Tamsin (1999). He has received major awards including the Hugo and Nebula for "Two Hearts" (2006/2007), World Fantasy Life Achievement Award (2011), and Damon Knight Grand Master (2018). Still active as of 2026, he continues publishing fantasy fiction.
