Peter Godwin (born 1957) is a Zimbabwean author, journalist, and former human rights lawyer best known for his memoirs chronicling his childhood in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and the country's political decline, including Mukiwa (1997, Orwell Prize winner), When a Crocodile Eats the Sun (2006), The Fear (2011), and Exit Wounds (2024).
