Peter Benson (born 1956) is an English novelist, playwright, short story writer, and poet, best known for his debut novel The Levels (1987), which won the Guardian Fiction Prize, Authors' Club Best First Novel Award, and Betty Trask Prize, and was shortlisted for the Whitbread Book Award. Smoke.
