About Paul Farley

Paul Farley (born 1965) is a British poet, writer, and broadcaster born in Liverpool, known for poetry collections such as The Boy from the Chemist is Here to See You (1998, Forward Prize for Best First Collection) and The Ice Age (2002, Whitbread Poetry Award), as well as non-fiction like Edgelands (2011, Jerwood Award). He has received numerous accolades including the Somerset Maugham Award (1999), E. M. Forster Award (2009), and shortlists for the T. S. Eliot and Costa Prizes, and serves as Professor of Poetry at Lancaster University.
