About Patrick O'Keeffe

Patrick O'Keeffe is an Irish-American writer born in 1963 in Limerick, Ireland, who grew up on a farm in County Limerick before emigrating to the United States in his twenties. He earned degrees from the University of Kentucky and an MFA from the University of Michigan, and now teaches creative writing at Ohio University. His notable works include the award-winning collection The Hill Road, for which he received the 2005 Story Prize and the 2006 Whiting Award.
