Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Gail Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, and is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, and author best known for her syndicated talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986–2011). She rose from poverty to build a vast media empire including Harpo Productions, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), and magazines like O, The Oprah Magazine, becoming the first Black female billionaire and a major philanthropist. Winfrey has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, multiple Emmys, and is dubbed the "Queen of All Media" for her cultural influence.
