About N.S. Nuseibeh
N.S. Nuseibeh (full name Nuzha Nuseibeh) is a Palestinian-British writer and researcher born in East Jerusalem on May 4, 1992. She is best known for her debut essay collection Namesake: Reflections on a Warrior Woman (2024), which won the Jhalak Prize 2025, the RSL Giles St Aubyn Award (first prize as work-in-progress), and the Guild of Food Writers Food Book of the Year, and explores her ancestry from the 7th-century warrior woman Nusaybah bint Ka’ab alongside themes of identity, feminism, and Palestinian experience. Her short fiction, such as "Love-life," has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, Oxford Review short fiction prize, and WordFactory Political Short Story Award.
