Norman Lebrecht

Norman Lebrecht (born 1948) is a British author, music journalist, novelist, and broadcaster best known for his classical music blog Slipped Disc and books like The Maestro Myth (1991), The Song of Names (2002, Whitbread Award winner, adapted into a 2019 film), Why Mahler? (2010), and Genius and Anxiety (2019). He has written extensively on the classical music industry, conductors, and composers, earning the 2014 Cremona Music Award for his contributions to music communication.
