Nita Prose (real name Nita Pronovost), born in 1972 in Ontario, is a Canadian author and editor best known for her #1 New York Times bestselling mystery novel The Maid (2022), which won the Anthony Award, Barry Award, Macavity Award, Ned Kelly Award, and Goodreads Choice Award for Best Mystery & Thriller, among others, and has sold over two million copies worldwide.
