Nina Marie Martínez

Nina Marie Martínez is an American novelist born in San José, California. A high school dropout, she earned a bachelor's degree in literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received the 2006 Whiting Award for her debut novel ¡Caramba! (2004). She resides in Northern California and is known for her work inspired by Mexican-American culture and flea market life.
