Nick Earls

Nick Earls (born 8 October 1963) is an Australian novelist born in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, who emigrated to Australia at age nine and worked as a GP before becoming a full-time writer. He is best known for humorous popular fiction about everyday life set in Brisbane, with notable works including Zigzag Street, 48 Shades of Brown, and Perfect Skin; major awards include the Betty Trask Award for Zigzag Street and the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year (Older Readers) for 48 Shades of Brown. com, Author's site
