Nicholas Boggs

Nicholas Boggs is an American writer and independent scholar. Baldwin: A Love Story, the first major biography of James Baldwin in three decades, draws on newly uncovered archival material and original interviews. It was an instant New York Times bestseller, a TIME and Atlantic top-ten book of 2025, won the National Book Critics Circle John Leonard Award and the PEN/Jacqueline Bogard Weld Award, and was longlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize 2026.
