About Ángel Vázquez

Antonio Ángel Vázquez Molina, known as Ángel Vázquez, was a Spanish writer born in Tánger, Morocco, on June 3, 1929. He won the prestigious Premio Planeta in 1962 for his debut novel Se enciende y se apaga una luz, followed by Fiesta para una mujer sola (1964) and his most celebrated work, La vida perra de Juanita Narboni (1976), which has been adapted into film twice and portrays life in cosmopolitan Tánger.
