About Nell Freudenberger

Nell Freudenberger (born April 21, 1975) is an American novelist, essayist, and short-story writer, best known for her novels exploring cultural intersections and personal relationships. She graduated from Harvard University and earned an MFA from New York University, with her debut collection Lucky Girls (2003) winning the PEN/Malamud Award and her novels The Dissident (2006) and The Newlyweds (2012) earning critical acclaim including the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. Named to The New Yorker's "20 under 40" list, she has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and lives in Brooklyn.
