About Morley Callaghan

Morley Callaghan (1903-1990) was a prolific Canadian novelist and short story writer, best known for works like Strange Fugitive (1928), Such Is My Beloved (1934), The Loved and the Lost (1951), and A Time for Judas (1983), often exploring themes of morality, social injustice, and Catholic faith. He received the Governor General's Award for The Loved and the Lost, the Lorne Pierce Medal (1960), and was made a Companion of the Order of Canada (1982).
