About Émile Moselly

Émile Moselly (real name Émile Chenin) was a French novelist born in Paris in 1870. A regionalist author deeply rooted in rural Lorraine, he taught literature in various French schools and contributed to Charles Péguy's Cahiers de la Quinzaine. He won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1907 for his work Le Rouet d'ivoire, among other notable books like Terres lorraines and Jean des Brebis. He died suddenly of a heart attack in 1918. French
