Miguel Delibes

Miguel Delibes (1920–2010) was a Spanish novelist, journalist, and newspaper editor associated with the Generation of '36, renowned for his realistic depictions of rural Castilian life, nature, and social issues. His notable works include La sombra del ciprés es alargada, Las ratas, and Los santos inocentes, and he received major awards such as the Premio Nadal, Premio Cervantes, and membership in the Royal Spanish Academy.
