Michele Wood

Michele Wood (b. 1964) is an American artist, illustrator, and author best known for her children's books depicting African American history and culture, such as Going Back Home (American Book Award), I See the Rhythm (Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award), and Box: Henry Brown Mails Himself to Freedom (Newbery Honor).
