Michael W Twitty

Michael W. Twitty, born in 1977 in Washington, D.C. is an African-American Jewish culinary historian and author who explores the intersections of African-American, Jewish, and Southern food traditions through his acclaimed works. His most notable book, The Cooking Gene (2017), won the 2018 James Beard Foundation Book of the Year and Writing awards, while Koshersoul (2022) earned the National Jewish Book Award.
