Michael Holroyd

Sir Michael Holroyd (born August 27, 1935, London) is an English biographer renowned for his definitive multi-volume biographies of Lytton Strachey, Augustus John, and Bernard Shaw, as well as A Strange Eventful History. He has received major awards including the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, David Cohen Prize, and a knighthood in 2007 for services to literature.
