About Melissa Fay Greene

Melissa Fay Greene (born December 30, 1952) is an American nonfiction author known for her works on civil rights, social justice, and family, including the award-winning Praying for Sheetrock (1991) and The Temple Bombing (1996). A two-time National Book Award finalist, she has received the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award, Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize, Southern Book Critics Circle Award, and was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame in 2011.
