Megha Majumdar

Megha Majumdar is an Indian-American author and editor. She was born in Kolkata and educated at Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University. Her debut novel A Burning (2020) was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction. Majumdar works as an editor at Catapult. A Guardian and a Thief (2025) is her second novel, again set in contemporary India.
