Mary Treadgold

Mary Treadgold (1910–2005) was an English author of children's novels, particularly known for pony books such as her Carnegie Medal-winning debut We Couldn't Leave Dinah (1941), written during the Blitz, along with sequels like The Polly Harris and the Heron trilogy.
