Mary Lavin

Mary Lavin (1912–1996) was an Irish short story writer and novelist born in East Walpole, Massachusetts, to Irish immigrant parents, who returned to Ireland in her childhood, where she became a pioneering voice in Irish women's writing. Aosdána. Yorker.
