About Marc Aronson

Marc Aronson (born 1950) is an American author, editor, publisher, and historian specializing in nonfiction history and biography for children and young adults. He is best known for works like Sir Walter Ralegh and the Quest for El Dorado, which won the first Robert F. Sibert Medal in 2001, Sugar Changed the World (co-authored with Marina Budhos), If Stones Could Speak, and Master of Deceit. With a Ph.D. in American history from NYU, he teaches at Rutgers University and continues to write columns for School Library Journal.
