Malcolm Lowry

Malcolm Lowry (1909-1957) was an English novelist and poet best known for his masterpiece Under the Volcano (1947), ranked #11 on the Modern Library's 100 Best Novels list, along with early novel Ultramarine (1933) and posthumous short story collection Hear Us O Lord from Heaven Thy Dwelling Place (1961), which won the Governor General's Award.
