Mal Peet

Mal Peet (1947–2015) was an English author and illustrator best known for young adult fiction, including the Paul Faustino trilogy (Keeper, The Penalty, Exposure) and the Carnegie Medal-winning Tamar. He began publishing novels in his fifties after diverse jobs and studies at the University of Warwick, earning major awards like the Branford Boase Award for Keeper, Carnegie Medal for Tamar, and Guardian Prize for Exposure.
