About Maggie Ross

Martha Reeves (born 1941), who writes under the pen name Maggie Ross, is an American Anglican solitary, theologian, and author specializing in contemplative spirituality and silence. Her most notable works include the two-volume Silence: A User's Guide (2014, 2018), The Fountain and the Furnace: The Way of Tears and Fire (1987), and translations of Carthusian novice conferences such as The Way of Silent Love (1993).
