About M. M. Buckner
M. M. Buckner (Mary M. Buckner) is an American hard science fiction author and environmental activist whose novel War Surf won the 2005 Philip K. Dick Award, while her debut Hyperthought was nominated in 2003; other notable works include Watermind, which ranked in Barnes & Noble's SF Top Ten for 2009, Neurolink, and The Gravity Pilot. She holds a BA in English from Memphis State University and an MA in Creative Writing from Boston University, and previously worked as a marketing VP earning two Diamond Addy Awards.
