Lucien Bodard

Lucien Bodard (1914-1998) was a French journalist, war correspondent, and novelist renowned for his coverage of the First Indochina War and early Vietnam War, as well as novels drawing from his childhood in China. His most notable works include La Guerre d'Indochine, Monsieur le Consul (Prix Interallié 1973), and Anne Marie (Prix Goncourt 1981). NYT
