Lucía Etxebarria (born Lucía María Echevarría de Asteinza on December 7, 1966, in Valencia, Spain) is a prolific Spanish novelist, poet, and essayist of Basque descent, best known for her Generation X-themed works exploring love, sexuality, feminism, and mental health. Her most notable novels include Amor, curiosidad, prozac y dudas (1997), Beatriz y los cuerpos celestes (1998, Premio Nadal), De todo lo visible y lo invisible (2001, Premio Primavera), and Un milagro en equilibrio (2004, Premio Planeta). She has also received the Barcarola Poetry Prize for Actos de amor y placer (2004) and remains active in literature. Spanish
