Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry (born March 20, 1937) is an American author of children's and young adult literature best known for her novels Number the Stars (1989) and The Giver (1993), for which she won the Newbery Medal in 1990 and 1994, respectively. She has authored over 50 books, including the Giver Quartet and the Anastasia series, often exploring complex themes like dystopia, war, and loss.
