About Lionel Davidson

Lionel Davidson (1922-2009) was an English novelist renowned for his spy thrillers set in exotic locations such as Prague, Tibet, Israel, and Siberia. His most notable works include The Night of Wenceslas (1960), The Rose of Tibet (1962), A Long Way to Shiloh (1966), The Chelsea Murders (1978), and Kolymsky Heights (1994), for which he won three Gold Dagger Awards, the Authors' Club Best First Novel Award, and the 2001 Cartier Diamond Dagger for lifetime achievement.
