About Lindsay Clarke

Lindsay Clarke (born 1939) is a British novelist whose works often explore mythology, alchemy, and the interplay between conscious and unconscious realms. His most notable works include The Chymical Wedding (1989), which won the Whitbread Prize for fiction, debut novel Sunday Whiteman (1987) shortlisted for the David Higham First Novel Award, and The Water Theatre (2010), praised by The Times and winner of the inaugural Fiction Uncovered award. He received a Civil List Pension in 2014 for services to literature and continues to teach creative writing.com
