Lillian Hellman

Lillian Hellman (1905-1984) was an acclaimed American playwright, memoirist, and screenwriter whose Broadway hits like The Children's Hour, The Little Foxes, Watch on the Rhine, Another Part of the Forest, and Toys in the Attic critiqued social injustices and human flaws. She earned the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Watch on the Rhine, National Book Award for An Unfinished Woman, two Oscar nominations, and numerous honors before her death in 1984. Masters.
