Lillian Hellman (1905-1984) was an acclaimed American playwright, memoirist, and screenwriter whose Broadway hits like The Children's Hour, The Little Foxes, Watch on the Rhine, Another Part of the Forest, and Toys in the Attic critiqued social injustices and human flaws.
