About Leslie Feinberg

Leslie Feinberg (1949–2014) was an American author, transgender activist, and communist best known for the groundbreaking novel Stone Butch Blues (1993), which won the Lambda Literary Award and the American Library Association Stonewall Book Award, and the nonfiction work Transgender Warriors (1996). Feinberg's writing advanced transgender liberation theory and gender studies awareness.
