Leon Garfield

Leon Garfield (1921–1996) was a British author best known for his children's historical novels such as Smith, Black Jack, Devil-in-the-Fog, and Jack Holborn, often compared to Dickens for their vivid 18th-century settings and dramatic narratives. (1980).
